urbanoptimist (User) Fresh Boarder Posts: 4 Karma: 0   "College Rock" by urbanoptimist 6 Months, 2 Weeks ago I've noticed that Huntsville has a pretty big college rock/indie scene and think a few more youthful shows in Huntsville wouuld do well. Animal Collective, Beach House, Deerhunter, Girls, etc. I'm sure these people are cheaper than the likes of Cracker or Eric Clapton or whatever and these types of shows are ALWAYS sold out at Bottle Tree in Birmingham. A lot of people drive down from Huntsville/Madison for Bottle Tree shows anyway. Even more mainstream artists such as Andrew Bird, Devendra Banhart, Cat Power, Dirty Projectors could possibly be within reach and would pull people from a larger area.
